Lost in Translation

Sometimes movie titles don’t quite survive localization. Can you recognize these bad films based on their official Finnish names when they are translated back to English? (And no, I’m not explaining the Finnish idioms that make no sense in English when translated literally, it’s funnier like this.)

Film Fusion

Michelle is trying to come up with better movies by combining the titles of two bad ones from The List. Can you guess the new “fused” film titles based on the pitches?

( An example using well known movies not on The List: “A disagreeing murder trial jury has to police the secret alien presence on Earth.” → 12 Angry Men in Black. Also some of these are so bad, I'm sorry.)

1. A video game character comes to life and receives a voice mail predicting his death.
2. The same person plays both the male and female leads in this story about trying to find buried diamonds in a desert amongst criminals.
3. Accidentally changing the past causes the present to be full of flying rescue vehicles.
4. Superhero parody as a series of short films full of Hollywood stars.
5. A mortally injured security man is rebuilt as a cyborg who has to work as a driver to save his kidnapped wife.
